About this site

Our Acreage is a resident-led advocacy and discussion platform. We support candidates we believe will serve Acreage residents of all ages and interests.

Our ongoing priorities are improving and expanding parks, sports and recreation through innovative ideas, volunteer involvement and sweat equity. That work doesn't end with one election.

This election

We support Jay Sweet for Seat 1, Patty Farrell for Seat 3 and Michael Johnson for Seat 5 on the Indian Trail Improvement District board. These are the candidates Our Acreage supports. Each candidate's page separates sourced background facts from our reasons for supporting them.

Community discussion

We want to hear your ideas, questions and disagreements. You don't have to support the same candidates to take part. Harassment, threats, spam and sharing anyone's private information aren't allowed.

Resident endorsements

Residents can choose to share a public endorsement with their real name and photo. Each one is reviewed by a person before it appears and represents that person's own views, not those of their employer, team, league or other organization. Email addresses are never shown. To have your endorsement removed, email [email protected].

Funding

We are not an official Indian Trail Improvement District website. We do not accept funding from candidates.

Sources and opinions

Facts about the candidates come from public records and news coverage, linked on each candidate’s page. Everything else on this site is the opinion of local residents. Candidate photos are credited where they appear.
